Chromebook Care

Over the past few weeks, we have seen many more Chromebook repair and replacement requests than we normally do. The good news is most of these problems are preventable.  Because we're relying on electronic devices every day and often run into long delays getting parts, it's more important than ever to keep the following Chromebook care tips in mind:

Do

  • Close the lid whenever moving your Chromebook and always carry it with two hands.

  • Shut your Chromebook down and charge it every night.

  • Use your Chromebook on a stable flat surface.

  • Always store your Chromebook in a safe place where it won't fall or get damaged when it isn't being used.

  • Keep your Chromebook clean.  Wiping it with a soft cloth lightly dampened with water, mild alcohol-based cleaner or screen/electronics cleaner is safe for the device.

Don't

  • Drink or eat over or around your Chromebook.

  • Have items on the keyboard when closing the screen.

  • Let friends or family members use your Chromebook.

  • Write, draw, or put stickers on your Chromebook.

  • Pick off rubber edges or feet.  These are there to protect the device.

Equity and Diversity

CBRSD teachers, Sarah DiFazio  and Meagan Shannon along with Stephanie Wright  from Multicultural Bridge will be facilitating a virtual book study beginning Monday, December 14th at 4:00 via Zoom. The book is How To Be an Antiracist by National Book Award-winning author, Ibram X. Kendi. Please email Annie Pecor, apecor@cbrsd.org if you would like to participate or have any questions. Given this is via Zoom, a book pick-up/drop off can be arranged.

Lunch Pick-up

Please note the following changes that have been made for lunch pick-up. All students qualify for free lunch through the end of the school year. Pick-up is no longer at Craneville.

Wednesdays: Nessacus 1:00-3:30PM

Becket/Washington 2:30 - 4:30PM

Next week we have school on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Then we begin the holiday break until Monday, January 4, 2021. Please continue to reach out with any questions.

Be well,

Annie
