Hello to our Craneville community! My name is Becky Sawyer and I have had the honor of being the principal here at Craneville since the fall of 2024. I have only recently come to Central Berkshire, though I have been teaching since 2001 at the elementary and middle school levels. I came to Craneville in the spring of 2021 as a substitute teacher, then taught 6th grade math at Nessacus for the 2021-2022 school year. Craneville was looking for an Assistant Principal for the 2022-2023 school year, and I was fortunate to be selected! I worked as the Assistant Principal for two years, then signed on as the Interim Principal for the 2024-2025 school year, and then was assigned the position permanently for the 2025-2026 school year. I was born and raised in Berkshire County and currently live in Lanesborough with my husband and our Siberian Husky Rosie. My vision for the future of Craneville is to continue to develop an inclusive and welcoming community where students, staff and our families feel welcome and happy to be here.
